evening Team Meeting - we're just over two weeks away from the event and the
work is piling up!
Tuesday saw us at the Private View of Maidenhead Painting Club's 35th Annual Exhibition. It was a particularly special occasion for us, as both Steph and Harri had paintings in the show, as well as many of our friends. We were chuffed to bits when the Mayor announced that the Adlington Award winner was our friend, colleague and all-round superstar, Lu Willis for her stunning Chrysanthemum study (see below). Harri received a 'Highly Commended' for her work, which boded well for her Private View at The Rendezvous the following night!
And what a success it was! She sold eight paintings at her Private View on Wednesday and I gather she's still on cloud 9! The work is available to view and buy until early December. It's a must-visit!
Finally, on Friday evening we headed to the Private View of Windsor Contemporary Art Fair. It's an annual trip for us and a great opportunity to catch up with artists such as Jim Munnion (who took part in Art on the Street in May) and see what the wonderful team at Jelly in Reading have been up to. They're such an inspiration!
And now we throw ourselves headlong into our own event!
