Another group of junior art lovers were using the event to help them to achieve their nationally recognised Arts Award qualification. Artist and teacher Shalini Bhat of ‘Artspiration’ felt that AotS was an ideal way to introduce her students to artists in practice saying
“it was the perfect opportunity to meet artists involved in various art forms. They would come across an array of art practices and choose a favourite work and directly talk to the artist to know more about their studio practice. The workshops were an added bonus. All of which contributed towards their Arts Award journey.”
“ We went to Art on the Street with our Art Teacher, Shalini - it helps us with art awards and we exhibited there ourselves one year! My mum bought 3 paintings ! And I had a hot chocolate”

“ I love Art on the Street, we go every year. Its inspiring to see all the different types of Art on display, it gives me ideas for my Artwork too. I would love to have my own stand when I am older.”
