The exhibition is inspired by a recent commission for an over-sized plum, leading Lisa through a body of work depicting disproportionately sized ‘cheeky’ fruits and vegetables. Trailing though the supermarket, Lisa found an exciting delicious world just waiting to be converted to huge canvases and bestowed with personality - “Life is serious enough. Busy enough”
Lisa enjoys painting larger than life,“I can never paint big enough! Practicalities like doors, windows and the boyfriends car boot need to be taken into account.”
Lisa’s 'plumpcious' plums & voluptuous veg are available to view and purchase from 26th January to 27th February. The Rendezvous Café is operated by Age Concern Slough & Berkshire East and they will receive a donation of 10% of any sales of original work from the exhibition.
