This month at The Rendezvous Café at Maidenhead Town Hall is “A Hazy Shade of Winter” - The long awaited exhibition of twenty-two paintings by the West London Abstract Artist Catherine Phillips.
The exhibition is a celebration of the richness and depth of Winter, its festivals, weather,
and impact on our lives and the world around us. The vast majority of the paintings on display have been created especially for this exhibition, which will take the viewer on a journey from late autumn, through the depths of winter, and into early Spring - Samhain to Imbolc - taking in Halloween, Guy Fawkes’ Night, Remembrance Day, Christmas and New Year’s Day and touches on themes such as violence against women, personal growth and self-fulfilment.
Catherine Phillips lives and works in Brentford, West London. She is a member of the Artists’ community at Johnsons Island there, and has previously exhibited at W3 Gallery in Acton and at the Brentford Gallery. She will be keeping a “Hazy Shade of Winter” diary, in the lead up to the exhibition and more information is available at www.ostaralondon.co.uk
You can see Catherine’s work from 2nd December 2014 to 2nd January 2015. The Rendezvous Café is operated by Age Concern Slough & Berkshire East and they will receive a donation of 10% of any sales of original work from the exhibition.
