She is an American citizen who came to England with her American parents and sister and later became naturalized in the United Kingdom. Malorie also lived in Strasbourg where she worked for a pharmaceutical company and while there she followed her other passion of playing piano as background music in some grand hotels in Strasbourg and in Baden-Baden nearby.
Her favourite photographic subjects are landscapes, seascapes, townscapes and old colourful architecture, as well as capturing split-second surprises that animals provide us with and floral scenes. Malorie is one of the photographers named in the “Bradt guide to the Azores” by David Sayers which gave her an opportunity to see her photographs from the point of view of a publisher seeking to inform the reader with images that tell them a story about a place rather than to look at images from a purely artistic point of view. Malorie gets a buzz from the excitement of capturing a scene which can change a moment later in the blink of an eye and prefers beautiful scenery and uplifting colour to serious subject matter and is frequently inspired by visiting exhibitions of all types of art.
All work is available to view and purchase directly from Malorie. The Rendezvous Café is operated by Age Concern Slough & Berkshire East and they will receive a donation of 10% of any sales of original work from the exhibition.
