Andrew has been painting all his life and has recently been focusing on the colour and vibrancy achieved with acrylic on canvas and board. Among this current display are his experimentations with water as a reflective and uplifting visual subject in their own right – demonstrating that reflections of reality offer just as much interest and satisfaction to the eye as the objects being mirrored.
Seascapes and beaches contribute to the exhibition with their similar watery theme - evoking a Mediterranean intensity that is reflective of his love of, and yearning for, an idyllic outdoor life.
Andrew works in a range of other media including pen& ink, biro and coloured pencil. He also sculpts life forms (human and animal) with works in papier mache and modroc (mod rock) plaster of Paris bandage.
His work is available to view and purchase from 13th to 24th April. The Rendezvous Café is operated by Age Concern Slough & Berkshire East and they will receive a donation of 10% of any sales of original work from the exhibition.
Andrew is happy to take commissions in his style of similar subject matter.
