Charlotte’s work tends to be of a site-responsive nature, engaging with its environment and sometimes only existing momentarily. Some pieces endeavour to give light a volume and a physical tangibility. Others use natural light to draw attention to unnoticed spaces, often measuring space and time through light.
Within her practice there is a dialogue between space and place which is mediated by light and the window plays heavily in a number of her pieces. Charlotte works in multiple mediums spanning from print making and ink drawings to vast light bulb installations.
Charlotte graduated from the University of Kent having studied Fine Art BA Hons, exhibiting at numerous venues throughout her degree. More recently Charlotte exhibited her work at Turner Contemporary in Margate as part of the Platform Graduate Award of which she was a finalist.
