I am a landscape and portrait painter and work in a range of media from oil to watercolour. I prefer working from life both for landscape and portraiture.Many scenes are local. Recent work has included a collection of studies of the floods at Cookham from earlier this year.
By working on the spot, I had a heightened awareness of the environment, not just from visual observation, but by aural imput too. I have aimed to capture a little bit of history.
