My work is an attempt to explore ideas using a mix of media from a theatrical point of view.
When and how did you become an artist?
I was born in Hull and graduated from the Architectural Association in London and have had a long career in production design for TV.
Drawing was central to my work and I always had at some stage to present a 'mood board'. Eventually, the mood boards became more interesting than the programmes and that gave me an idea....
Who or what are your inspirations and why?
Always Picasso because he consistently reinvented what he was about and more recently the work of Assemble because they have demonstrated that art and architecture can still inspire the community.
If you could go for a drink with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why?
Only friends because that's where ideas can begin, get nurtured and even get resolved.
